Yuffie & Sonon vs. Top Secrets

Hello,

Was this challange changed? If I watch videos Bahamut does not activate his aura when he is pressured. If I play it, as soon he is pressured he activates his aura and Yuffie and Soron are pushed back.

So does someone has an idea if Bahamut was changed? All the guides don't work for me because of the aura.

I was wondering why this was impossible while every youtube guide is killing him before he even summons ifrit, must've been changed.

No idea since its both been a while since I've played that fight but also because I never abused such a cheese. Have you considered just fighting him normally without cheesing? Sure, you will do a bit more dmg per Art of War but you still do good dmg even without him being staggered using the skill. Don't forget to Haste on Sonon so he can actually generate ATB quickly.

For Ifrit just ignore he even exists. Equip Elemental + Fire materia and he will act as a free heal on you plus since you cannot change characters he will almost entirely ignore Sonon. Just keep killing Bahamut while enjoying Ifrit's free heals. Plus, this helps for Pride and Joy boss later on in the fights.

No, It's still easy to kill it before he summons Ifrit.

I tried for a good 2 hours before giving up, Ifrit was spawning regardless, like its on a timer. Unless you talking about mods?

Edit: I downloaded some mods to see and was able to stagger him instantly, and at around 1/2 life he still summons ifrit, even while pressured.

I was able to stagger him without the aura stopping me 1 time, IDK what I did differently OP. Could just boil down to timing.

So... why is Ifrit an issue? As it was mentioned Ifrit can be made to heal you, not hurt you. I'm just not seeing the issue here, especially since fire absorption is so useful later in that series of fights, too.

So fyi I managed to kill him with another guide, which was not on "kill before Irfit". To be honest, Irfit is not really a problem. The guide was more a normal playing guide which I prefered, not "use Thunder exactly now".

Bahamut is the hardest of the enemys. Ramuh is not that hard, but a lot of luck needed not to get hit by lightning.

First time I reached Pride and Joy 0.5 I was getting him down to 1% :D But the 5. time I killed him. Bahamut was about 50 times.
