squats
its a joke when theirs counts as 3 per 1. so its not even a game here. pass on that as you cannot preform them fast enough to count.

Never saw them counting as more than they actually did.... and managed to beat the mini-game on every level. The hardest level took me many tries though, but I eventually got good enough to consistency beat the NPC by over 10 squats or more.

No, it counts as 1 per squat. They just go fast so you need to simply not make any errors, yourself, or you will typically lose. As Koby said, as long as you don't make errors you can definitely beat them by a good 10-30 point margin.

it takes 2 secs per arrow mark no way it can be beat that way

No, as you do more squats without making a mistake you get faster. Eventually you get so fast your getting like 3-4 squats to their every 1 squat. You just need to practice more or skip it if you don't care for the reward. Making a mistake causes the speed to reset so that is the biggest risk.

If you would stop falling then you will end up going very fast by the end of the round. I find it helps to mute the game because the music timing will mess you up.. just watch cloud’s animation and as soon as he pauses you press and say it out loud and you’ll see the rhythm easily. I usually get it first try now

I agree about muting the music. Often audio is intended to help in tempo mini-games but it completely screws you up in this game because the audio is off it seems.

Nah, need that music to feel the burn!

Yeah it isn’t intended to ever sync up with the squat pacing since the speed varies as you progress. I’ve been a musician for 25years and going with the beat is as natural to me as breathing so I just cut it the moment I realized it was tough to beat

Just look at the character animations for each button.

i think op may be correct. maybe it's changed in this PC version, but seems different than console. i just did a perfect flawless round and jules won by 51 to my 44. ...7???! i did not fall or miss any.
can i somehow control my speed? if i press too fast than i fall. i guess i'm asking how i can do it flawlessly yet still lose???

Don't rush the first several squats/pull-ups. Let it properly build up speed and go slow even if it means you aren't out pacing the AI opponent despite their falling.

Keep going until you start to get so fast the button indicator reaches the next one in the time you think you could immediately press it. For Squats, its been a while but iirc I think this one is much slower than pull ups.

If you do it right you can easily reliably get scores of like 80-100 which the AI doesn't even come close to.

It may take 2-3 tries to get the timing but the core point is don't attempt to do a smooth transition to getting faster. You will end up getting ahead of yourself and falling. Stick to being safe and going a bit slower until the indicator, or if pull-ups since indicator turns invisible then her animations) become nearly instant then start going fast. It' s a big transition from slow to instantly fast, don't do gradual and only do the transition when you're clear its safe to make that swap to fast.
You can use Cheat Engine to easily find the value in memory and change it to whatever you want, if you struggle to complete it otherwise.

As a disabled player myself, that’s what I did, seeing as the devs sadly didn’t provide a skip option, let alone proper accessibility options…

thanks about cheat engine, but i found this mod...
https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/586

i only used the minigame pak and it worked great. beat all squats first try. been an ocd gamer for 55 years (yay board games!) and don't have patience for insane minis anymore. chocobo racing, skipping rope, lightning ect. i usually do all that but no time anymore. hell, darts took an hour lol
