I played through the original for the first time like 18 years ago, and I always liked Aerith more.

I do think it will be quite interesting if they go the route where Aerith live this time, who will cloud choose? :)
And what will happen if they bring back Zack.

I sometimes wonder how Aerith really felt about Cloud. The entire time they knew each other, he was acting like Zack, her previous boyfriend. Even during the date at the Gold Saucer, she says she wants to meet Cloud, implying that she is aware that Cloud is emulating someone else, rather than being himself.

I think it makes more thematic sense for Tifa and Cloud to be together, given their history and some of the scenes they experience together in the later parts of the story (Mideel, Lifestream, End of Disc 2, etc). There's also the fact that in AC they live together and have adopted a kid.

Of course I've played the OG FF7, but noting tells me Aerith really loves Cloud, matter of fact when the issue comes up cloud always talks about Tifa specially right before Wall market, I believe at the end of Disc 2 or Disc 3 you see a cut Scene of Cloud and Tifa together.

Either way, it's going to be interesting if they choose to keep Aerith alive.
I'm fine if they stick to the original or rather I hope they do, because if they choose to keep Aerith this time there's a very big chance they will bring back Zack as well and that's going to cause all sorts of drama.
I mean Aerith has fallen in love with Cloud and all of a sudden Zack is back? No thanks.

I really like Tifa but if I have to choose between them I'm going with Aerith.
