You get to fight him as the final boss of episode 1. Truth be told it might not be his real body but we're not sure. However, he makes a much stronger and earlier appearance into the storyline due to time shift changes from the original timeline and he is very aware of Cloud's and party's existence already unlike in the original due to story reasons.[/quote]

You're asking for spoilers in the title.

Yes, he is the final boss.

And the final chapter is THE most mayor deviation from the original game.

Its a ♥♥♥♥ for purists like me.

I didnt find appealing fighting him at this very early stage of the remake story.

Its not even an original fight really, the stage its a copy-paste from the Advent Children movie.
And when there is a face to face shot with Cloud, that is from the original game.
I loved his moveset though, most are from the Dissidia games (and I LOVED those games, but yet again... its a copy-paste).
From Dissidia if Im not mistaken, but maybe another game showed them early (maybe crisis core? I dont remember well).
Now the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ black wing, that is not even from the original game, that was from KH.

In short, the devs wanted to WOW us very early on but not everyone bought it.

Sorry for my rants.

The "copy-paste" and "shot for shot from the original game" there is a theory, which I buy into, that seems very deliberate and plays into Sephiroth knowing the future/what's going on:

I immediately thought that looked familiar and was like, "did he...?...no way...haha oh boy." Then I saw this linked video a little later.

Sephiroth will be in the last Part for sure...

But we don't know anything about the Middle Part,
the one about the "MAP", that was what I wanted to
know about the whole time...

Also, a side note: Sephiroth had the Wing in Advent Children

Yeah so? the wing is still from KH and not related in any way to the original FF7.

I complain about this because I doubt there is ever a proper Safer Sephiroth angelic look in the final battle (that is IF Sephiroth is still the main antagonist at the end of this reimagining). Instead, they would go just for the black wing and some other minor changes and thats it.

I wil be happy if Im wrong.

The Wing originates from Final Fantasy VII (original), however, the wing is red/black/purple mixture. This occurs because he is fusing with Jenova after falling into the lifestream and came back as Safer Sephiroth.

However, we don't see him in a normal human form ever after that aside from the internal spiritual battle between Cloud and Sephiroth due to the connection between the two from the cells. This, however, isn't his real body and its a weakened Sephiroth so its not too surprising.

So kinda yes kinda no. As you said, the first human form of it with the totally black wing is Kingdom Hearts. This is likely because his theme song in the original game is One Winged Angel, or at least that is the general speculation, to which they kept it for reoccurring appearances like Advent Children, etc. One excuse for the wing looking different in the original game is we see it during his raised super state as Safer Sephiroth vs his weaker human state, but it could equally just be artistic design before they redid it due to the cloud's background colors and the coloring style of Safer Sephiroth oriented more towards an angelic higher order of being theme.

The Advent Children type scene we saw in the final fight is because its the end of the world (that is a location, not an event) and this was simply the way developers saw fit to portray that location bound between times and worlds. It makes sense, too, from one perspective though such a location could in reality have any number of incarnations and possibly even molded and perceived based on the character's own influences that were visiting.

Regarding the issue of copy paste movesets keep in mind Sephiroth hasn't suddenly started learning a new fighting style. This is mostly to be expected. If he ends up having multiple forms like in the original game then perhaps we will see other moves then, but for now... he will naturally stick to his core move sets. Keep in mind this might not be the real Sephiroth. Its a bit odd we could even fight him as well as we could as the real Sephiroth was much stronger. This is very possibly a clone of some sort like he pulled in the original game, or some other manifestation. Of course, it could also be that Sephiroth isn't going serious as hinted in the final scenes where he parries Cloud's attacks but... its also extremely possible that wasn't a fight where either of them could even actually die in as they're not physically there in actuality so its hard to say. My guess is the real Sephiroth isn't revived yet, though.

However, this time Sephiroth is readily aware of Cloud and the others so it makes sense for earlier contact as he comes from the future. Otherwise he would just end up being killed off again.

He's in it as the final boss as others have already stated, but the fight is essentially the most disappointing and mindless affair you will experience in a video game. I beat the game on Saturday and it was such a huge let-down.

I strongly disagree.

Yeah its more likely that was a clone taking over by Sephiroth (similar to the previous fight with Jenova (now dubbed Jenova Dreamweaver), since, as we know according to the original game, Seph´s real body is currently at the North Crater.

This "Omega Sephiroth" if you will that you speak of, knowing whats going to happen is interesting, but at the same time not, because maybe the devs turn him into an ally as he proposed an alliance to Cloud at the end, and that would be kind of a let down.
