Dictionary entry for remake:
"make (something) again or differently"
You're arguing that we should use some other definition than what the dictionary says, and that everyone agrees with you.
How on earth did you come to that conclusion? Nowhere in my comment did I make a statement on how the quality of the game is impacted by this distinction.
Don't put words in my mouth.
Edit: I don't understand why this is such a point of contention. As far as I am aware, all Ice-Nine was saying was that the title was chosen because of a plot element in the game and is a sort of play-on-words.
Somehow, the current topic has turned into a discussion about the proper connotation for the word, "remake." It's completely beside the point.
If people want it to be a different kind of remake, that's their opinion and they have a right to it. But saying it's not a remake is just silliness for no reason.

So, like I said.
You...haven't really been following along, have you?
Have you?
Commercial failure LOL... denial is strong in this one.
