Switch Pro Controller rapidly presses buttons randomly
I've been playing this game for like 15 hours with my pro controller. No issue before but suddenly when I boot the game. The controls start freaking out and rapidly pressing every button.

This only happens in this game as well. I have tested my controller on other games (SF6 for instance) and it works perfectly there. I tried using a F310 Logitech Gamepad. It works but during combat it just randomly opens the command menu so that's a no go either.

Here's just generally what I've tried
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling
  • Reinstalling Steam
  • Trying a different pro controller
  • Trying a different USB-A to C cable
  • Enable switch controller layout

If anyone has had this issue before, direct me to a fix, or have any leads on what to try next. I'd greatly appreciate it

Potential Solution?
Settings -> Controller -> Enable Steam Input (and I suppose enable steam support for nintendo switch pro controller)

I would randomly get this happening. Sometimes it's fine, other times it just freaks out like you said.
I've found that using the controller as a bluetooth instead of having it plugged in to your PC seems to stop it from happening(at least so far for me).

The same thing is happening to me. Did you find any fix that doesn’t require to use the controller with bluetooth?
Stuff like this tends to happen to me only when another controller/peripheral is connected and the game recognizes it.

Alright, might have found a solution?

I did this in big picture mode before launching the game:
Settings -> Controller -> Enable Steam Input (and I suppose enable steam support for nintendo switch pro controller)

It might mean that the native ability for the game to recognize inputs controls might be bugged, so going through steam input might be better. Just a thought, but give it a try and I hope you're games work now.

A bit late to the party and having the same issue, luckily i fixed it.
I play with the switch pro controller through cable, i started big picture, disabled and enabled steam input, launched the game and somehow that fixed the problem.
