Can you play just the Intergrade part?

Or do you need to play the main game first? Is there anything that carries over or can get transferred between the main game or Intergrade or are they entirely and completely separate?

I'm pretty sure they are separate and you can play integrade by itself.

Kinda. If you're interested in only Yuffie mission you can do just that.
But Weiss superboss is fought in the main game.

Is that something that was added to the Intergrade version?

I am asking because I already beat the game and put many hours into it on PS4 long ago, but I don't have a PS5 so I can't get Intergrade, I don't want to play through the whole main game again. The only way for me to play Intergrade without a PS5 is to get it on PC.

Gotta love that DLC for a PS4 game is PS5 exclusive, I am sure Sony's money had NOTHING to do with that decision...

Main game has slightly updated visuals and balance. Then there is Yuffie mission which unlocks Weiss for the main game. Since Weiss is a superboss you basically have to complete main game twice (normal and hard) to have a good fighting chance. Like most FF superbosses its just a side content existing almost entirely for its challenge. But since its technically a part of Intergrade I think it should have been mentioned.
