Why is this game so bad?

Third try, I just can't get into it.
1. It runs poorly, so much stutters and I have a somewhat good PC
2. The combat is utter crap, why did they blend action and atb in this? It's so clunky, crisis core's combat is so much more fluid and fast, it feels like characters have weights
3. The game has horrible level design, it's like they took XIII skeleton and slapped VII skins into it and I really dislike XIII, like many people but it seems that it's okay if the game is FFVII
4. The game just won't let me play, why do I need to follow NPCs, where is my freedom? LET ME PLAYYYYYY FFS, I'm sick of walking at 2kmh for 20 minutes between each battles
5. Corridors, corridors, corridos, ♥♥♥♥ platforming, corridor, ♥♥♥♥ platforming

So I'm curious, what do you guys like about this?
I just can't find anything about it that is good.
If we'd remove the whole FFVII skin from the game, would you still play it? Heh, I'm kinda mad I can't get into it but this is torture to play
Everything is a downgrade from XV here

The game is not fun and runs like ♥♥♥♥, hell, is it even a game?
Feels more like an interactive movie

Remake doesnt do that. It actually noticably desexualized Tifa compared to her previous official appearances in various spinoff games and other released materials. It fleshed out her personality and allowed her to function as a character much more independently while in OG she wasnt much more than childhood friend of MC and ocasional plot device.
So if anything Remake moved away (or at least took major steps) from women objectification that was definitely present in OG.

All this is just your twisted perception of a hater and confirmation bias that follows.
It shows in many things. That reviewer you love so much is a comedian. His whole thing is to pick on small details and blow them out of proportion for laughs. And you take all that at face value which is even more hilarious than his show itself.

Your leaps in logic are baffling. Just because art section is full of this stuff doesnt mean players are buying the game for this. Anyone can post in art section, unlike screenshots you dont need to own the game for your stuff to appear in public hub. On the flip side not everyone who buys and plays the game posts in art section. It takes a special mindset to post there, anything at all, not just horny stuff. Only tiny minority of all players do that.
If you check screenshots overwhelming majority of people play vanilla. Unlike the game you've tried to push some time before as superior because it has more players. Its full of shots with adult mods. Adult mods for Remake exist, dont worry about that.
Its your modus operandi. Pick an irrelevant metric and then write a whole book about it, full of logic loops, leaps and speculations presented as facts.

And improved visuals over 1997 release is now a negative. You heard it here first, folks. More news at 10.

Also there is no such thing as comedy without some underlying truth to it. Its how "funny" works, 100% made up stuff is never funny. Even Greeks who invented comedy understood that.

You miss the point again. First of all this was presented as opinion about something that cant be measured or verified as true or false so I've seen no reason to engage and argue with it. Notice how it doesnt start with phrases like "majority of fans consider this equivalent to a poorly localized anime" which is how you usually state your opinions.

But if Remake is indeed a poorly localized anime then OG is google translated anime. Most of the lines in OG arent even close to how actual human beings would hold a conversation. And Im pretty sure this was a tehnical, not artistic, limitation. There is only so much text you can show to players before allowing them to move. Voiced dialogue allows for putting more information in cutsenes or in gameplay itself as background banter.
In this sense modern tech and "hyper-realistic" visuals are actually closer to reading a book. Because in a book you can have 5 pages dedicated to describing how a person feels and what they think between 2 spoken lines of dialogue. You cant do the same in a puppet theater with 8-words long text baloons. But you can at least try to achieve the same result with modern tech. With poses, face expressions, good voice acting. All this makes modern game tech far superior to puppet theater you so love to praise and miss.

FFXV is a technically better game. It looks better, the movement is far more natural, the environments are much better designed and less linear, If you walk into a wall i FFV, the character stops moving, if you walk up hill, he bends his knees. FF7R looks like a PS3 game from that perspective.

Game goes downhill right when aerith comes into play. As soon as she arrives => everything is diluted, drags on, stops and go, forced walk, forced pointless movie, forced pointless dialogue ...

For these who love FF VII will love FF VII REMAKE!

I finished many times FFVII when I was young :D I finish FFVII REMAKE and its a very good REMAKE with bigest story, connections to FF CRYSIS CORE and MOVIES like ADVENT CHILDREN.

Its amazing how they put all story with all content and upgrade this. IF someone play and finish original FFVII will be amazed what they did here. Game have specyfic humor, if someone not understand then is not game/story for you.

The immersion was broken the moment these characters lacked the capacity to hustle through a 3-foot gap in the wall. Nobody with any good common sense enjoys being in a crawl space, especially when there's dangerous creatures all around. It adds nothing but annoying tedium to the game. Honestly. This game was hard to finish. most of the time is padded with boring bs, and the combat was ok, i like the try at an ATB battle system. not perfect, but i get it. I just hardly get to engage in it until the later half of the game where it starts to hit a stride and get good just to go back to walking final hallway of fantasy.

Who cares. It sold well so clearly the majority of people enjoys this game. If they didn't, they wouldn't continue the trilogy. If they didn't, they wouldn't have made the Crisis Core remaster. If they didn't, they wouldn't have kept the combat action-based for FF16.
