FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE

Προβολή στατιστικών:
Fixed; (Solution is for RTX 30/40 series card owners)
I am sorry guy's I do not have a fix for older gpu owners, I wish I did. I do however found a fix for FF7 Remake integrade if you own a RTX 30 series or 40 series card and could not for the life of you get your game to work.

For reference my PC specs are

I7 - 8700 (non-OC version)
RTX MSI 3060ti 8gb
G. Skill rip-jaw 32GB 3200mhz
MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus

The fix is simple but can be confusing. I am sure many of you haven't heard about this Nvidia feature like I have. and I am doubly sure many of you know about it and have it turned on.

The feature in question is called Nvidias Re-Size Bar, a option found in your bios, tucked away disabled on many systems just waiting to be clicked on. Re-Size bar is a feature that allows your CPU to essentially make the entirety of the graphics frame buffer accessible to your CPU. Instead of the CPU just sipping away at the buffer it now guzzles on it. This in part allows for higher FPS, smoother performance less game lag and stutter and more. I turned it on and FF7 Remake Integrades settings which I had all on low, playing the game in windowed mode and on 1080p all got switched to 1440p high textures/shadows with 120 fps with slight variations between 120/114 fps consistant @full screen.

I have also tested this on other problematic games I have had issues with like Poppy Playtime, final fantasy 15 windows edition, the outter worlds, ect. All the game's change to their ultra/best settings maxed cap at 165fps (my monitors refresh rate) full resolution with no stuttering, frame drops or lag. I would highly recommend checking this option out in your bios. I have posted instructions on how to do so below. Lemme know if it helped you out. Like you and many others out there i struggled for solutions and this one has most definitely fixed my issue!

- Update your motherboard BIOS (this is essential. Most if not all motherboards support Re-Size Bar. Nvidias website says 10th/11th/12th and later mobos are supported but mine is 8th/9th gen and it is supported. I would highly recommended updating your bios and checking)
- Enable “Above 4G Decoding” (this could show as 4G/crypto mining currency (leave this enabled if it is already enabled) and “Re-Size BAR Support” in the motherboard BIOS
- Disable “CSM Support” in the motherboard BIOS (this is a optional thing i didnt need to disable this)
- Update your video card VBIOS to a new enough version to support Resizeable BAR
- Download and install the NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 465.89 or later

You may need to go into advanced settings < sup-par pci express settings (or something similar) and inside there should be a list of options. 2 are Re-Size Bar support disable/enable and 4G/Crypto Mining Currency (or something similar) enable both of these. Save and restart your pc and run a game.

If the instructions are unclear or confusing there are videos on how to enable Nvidia Re-Size Bar as well. This is the fix that worked for me hope it worked for you too!

Is this setting on all mother boards?
so when I checked the Nvidia website it says that Re-Size bar is supported by 10th/11/th/12th gen mobo and cpus but my motherboard and cpu are 8th/9th gen so i would like to assume it is on all motherboard bios. I do not know what mobo you have but i would look up on how to locate it on google.

For me it was it advanced setting<pci sub-par settings and on the bottom was re-size bar support disabled. after i enabled it and restarted the problems i had were fixed.
No it doesn't work at least for the dlc i can confirm there is still much stutters in slums in particular and yet G synch alieviate that A LOT and it's particulary true for the main game. (it's same and particulary true for the main game in fact).

9900K OC 5ghz here and rtx 3090 FE

The problem is the junction of areas clearly i can tell. (think by ex in Intermission when you go out of the station and follow the guard there once inside notice the BIG stutters).

For the main game it's good when you use the ini and put shadow in low (no differences really and i mean in 4k/120Hz)

Do you use the v synch for see ? i use it combining to g synch
However it' has to be remember that the dlc is particular seeing it has been made FOR the ps5 not the ps4 (main game) so i am not so surprise.

Z390 Aorus Master here.

For knwoing if all features allow to have Rebar size you can use also techpower up gpu-z it will tell you (same for the pci-e revision and speed)
Well I use g-sync on my monitor and when I turned on Re-Size Bar Support it did help me out significantly. Before I had everything set to low settings, characters set to 0, window mode turned on at 1080p and still received stutters and fps drops. I turn on Re-Size Bar Support and everything for me nearly got fixed and now I'm playing on high settings 1440p, still get minor fps drops and little stutters here and there but nothing so sever or game freezes. I am sorry tho that you are still having those issues with Re-Size Bar turned on and with such high-end hardware too.
Ah ok i see no before resize bar i have had the same results but i use already a mod for (i use dx12 see i use HDR to). Was already in 4k/120Hz (119 fps locked/capped with Nvidia control panel for all games )
Same all in high etc and v synch

But i am on the Intermission dlc so no big surprised i know the dlc is more problematic a bit that the main game.

For the main game no stutters almost except the areas know for and the loading -hidden- areas.

You have try the dlc or just the main game ?
I havn't made it to the dlc yet I am on the main game in chapter 12.
Well however no i was still for characters in the 6/7 on 10 not at all 0 there you have big problem specially in 1080p and all in low. I know the shadows you can put easily on low no differences (like 95% opf the triple A games games are capped on console version)

Ah i just reread and ok 3060ti so 8gb of vram..yes the game had problems specially when you have less than 10gb of vram. For the problem of loading textures assets

It's remembe me that i don' tknow if my mod had had some evolution ...since the time (on for dx12 ) on Nexus

Ah ok i see^^ me i have finished it except all the hard well in fact the chapter 17 and 18. There also beat Yuffie dlc but not in Hard mode. But i can confirm you will have problems for the dlc at 100% Not much that main game but if by example you have had now no problems at all in stutters the slums yes . But like the main game it's not much worse just little worse.

The station by ex is ons of them (when you go outside you will see the moment you goes through) Not in the alleay or others but when in big places yes.

Thing is sure however the more fps you have and refresh rate with g synch the better clearly for stutters i was amaze by the difference with and without g synch.
What the OP is suggesting is not a fix. While it can in some games increase performance but can decrease it in others.
Keep in mind also, pairing a 8-10th gen CPU with a 30/40 series GPU, will result in your CPU being a bottleneck in a lot of new titles.

Yeah in most cases I would agree with you that you're right with bottle necking. Again tho it has fixed said issue for me, it may not fix it for everyone. I only posted it to maybe help since performance/fps drops/stuttering has been an on going issue with this game since launch, and this has been the solution to have worked for me. Thank you for chiming in tho, and adding your opinion. :)

MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows® 10 64-bit (ver. 2004 or later)
Processor: AMD FX-8350 / Intel® Core™ i5-3330
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon™ RX 480 / NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 780 / 3GB VRAM required
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 100 GB available space
Additional Notes: Assuming a Resolution of 1920 x 1080

RECOMMENDED:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows® 10 64-bit (ver. 2004 or later)
Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 3 3100 / Intel® Core™ i7-3770
Memory: 12 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon™ RX 5700 / NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 / 8GB VRAM required
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 100 GB available space
Additional Notes: Assuming a Resolution of 2560 x 1440 (This title supports max resolution of 3840 x 2160)

With recommended settings of a core I7-3770 and 1080 8gb There honestly shouldn't be any bottle necking that you would be referring too anyways. All Re-Size support does is opens up the ram cache to allow the cpu more access into it, so there wouldn't be a bottle neck in the first place. :) IMO everyone if they are able and capable, should have Re-Size Support enabled on their PC's. Even if it does only provide a small performance boost it does help out gratuitously elsewhere in PC game play!

No a 9900K is not a bottleneck even in pci-e 3.0 x16 for an rtx 3090 specially in 4k , but
graphics cards above yes more or less depending on the game. But if you cap your fps it's doesn't matter if it's not in very high fps.

But i have to test main game for see if it has helped (specially in the slums like wel..everyone in fact see it's the main problem of the game).
This fixed my issue with this game and others. Thanks!!
settings in 1080p max on all i get 90fps(locked fps at that might be more)
question i cant seem to find is about this setting...character 0-10 is the choice and what does it actually do in game?

i mean 0=no characters or what? cant see any difference what i choose so what is it?
