Having issues equipping weapons, equipment and materia

I just got ifrit from Jessie but still cannot equip anything I have cure and fire on original buster sword.

I have ff7 on epic is anyone else having this issue or know any fixes?

Summons go in their own slot to the right of your weapon materia slots.

Not sure why you wouldn't be able to swap out other materia or weapons.

You sure you actually understand how to do it?
Because its not exactly rocket science and its not locked behind any time/progression gate with everything being explained the first time you open menus.
