Is the performance fixed on PC?
Hi guys, I was wondering if the game has been fixed on PC? Like the stutter and lag. I tried searching it up but there has been no actual patches from what I've seen. Thanks in advance!

There is a total of about 10 people who complained about performance since steam release, half of them didn't had adequate hardware and 3 of them were too stubborn to even upgrade from windows 7.

The game works flawlessly on my PC as well as on my Steam Deck(with proper settings).

A simple search on this forum proves this to be wildly inaccurate. Not only did many people have issues, but many of them were using the latest video cards. EGS looks the same, and this is the same, never updated version from EGS.
You misread their post. What Katitoff specifically was referring to was "since Steam release" which is true. The game released on Epic Game Store much earlier where it started with some real performance issues, but this was fixed with an Nvidia driver update, etc. pretty fast. By the time it hit Steam the issues were largely non-existent. Katitoff is correct on this point.

Katitoff also made an extended point that the few who are complaining about it are usually overreaching their system specs playing at settings higher than their system can reasonably afford which is common sense. If you're PC can't handle 4K and high settings don't run it at that. This is a given, but people do it anyways.

Again, the main issue was resolved via an Nvidia driver update which you can look at my post history, search this on Steam forum, or Google to get specific info about. One commonly overlooked issue is even if you have decent CPU/GPU the game does desire a competent storage performance, preferably a faster NVME. People playing with HDD and stuff suffer even in cutscenes because of I/O bottlenecks. This is a hardware issue on their end.

As for AMD GPUs I believe I recall they were reported to, in this case, typically work better than Nvidia at launch but I don't know how significantly but as the issue is largely resolved there was likely some update not listed by AMD that resolved it as I can't find specific details of a fix on AMD's side. As for reviews and forum posts if you search you will find they either have poor storage as the installation point like HDD and if you search the reviews (literally just hold space bar and let it load hundreds of reviews) and search (Ctrl + F) for various subjects like stutter, performance, HDD, etc. you will find they either report no issues in most mentions (ex. "no stutter unlike other claims", etc. etc.) or rare cases like stutter in CG installed on HDD, or some other incredibly low end spec CPU/GPU and even then any comments in reviews, at all, about such issues are very rare out of all the reviews. Thus we can say with confidence the issue is resolved. In personal experience having played during the day of release and after the Nvidia driver update it was night and day difference as even my PC had clear stutter, though not quite as bad as some I've seen, but after it was totally resolved in multiple playthroughs.

The game runs smooth depending on the graphical settings. I can confirm there's some issues, but only if you use textures and shadows on high, may be related to storage speed OR RAM/VRAM... My PC is a Dell G15 i5-11400H, 8GB RAM, RTX 3050 4GB, I've stored the game on an external SSD (using a USB 3.0 port) so, in storage I'm stuck with 450mb/s MAX read/write because of the 5GBPS usb 3.0 limit (instead of 6GBPS SATA), I will test the game in the high settings and stored on the internal NVME to see what happens, I think the RAM may be a problem too in my case, 8GB.... Most games are using something about 12GB RAM on high settings so 16GB are a must have nowadays... :steamhappy: And... There's dual channel too that I'm lacking because I'm with 1x8GB, but I think the issue with the high settings may be with the total available RAM and storage speed... as the game runs above 60fps on high in most scenarios but lags when you advance to other areas or in cutscenes...

Ram and Vram are definitely a problem for you. I have 12gb ram and 6GB VRAM and I can't use High shadows without problems.
