It doesn't have to be Aerith. Its just about casting opposite element at right time.

Might want to elaborate on whats the issue so that we can try to help you in more specific ways.

As for the general guide of the fight, its watching the window/aura colour of Hell House then reacting with opposite element to cause it to be temporarily stunned or cancelling its massive attack.

Asses materia is your friend.

Most attacks it uses has a corresponding element. Jetstream is fire so you want to cast blizzard spells, renewed hospitality is (iirc) wind so you'd use lightning, etc.

When it gets staggered, Aerith's soul drain will drain a lot more mp, so that's a good opportunity to use it if she is running low. Additionally, when it is staggered, have Cloud use Infinity's End for a ton of damage.

You just played the game for an hour, how is that wasting time?, you'll encounter a few bosses that are kinda hard/obnoxious, but that is part of the fun precisely.

The game is not hard, but also not extremely easy. You just got to accept the idea that the game will have a few challenges here and there. The comments above already told you how to basically beat hell house.

And if you're really struggling, switch to easy, that should help a lot or watch a youtube guide on how to beat this boss.

if you are having a hard time i will link you a great guide. i just beat him on hard mode and i used it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyUFO1GW_8o Hell House is one of the most difficult bosses in the game. The first time out i stayed on Aireth the whole time and healed my way through it but in MMOS I always play the healer so it might not be the way for to go. In Hard Mode i followed the guide I linked and took him down on the second try, Do not give up the story is fantastic and well worth the challenge of completing the chapters.

Hahaha oh god Ruby is a *****, I hope shes just as bad if not worse in FF7R-3.

I want almost every thread in that game's forum to be people who pulled out their own hair from the PTSD of trying to take that boss on and failing miserably.

In FF7R, I have done everything except for that Weiss battle that I just cannot beat, and I really don't want to look up strategies or anything like that because I want to overcome it myself like I did for every other hard boss in the game..

THAT mofo is hard. Hellhouse is nothing in comparison.

I think the difficulty only comes from HH really being the first boss in the game that you can't beat by just running up to it with a sword.

As soon as you switch to ranged combat and use Cloud as support, it becomes super easy.

I agree at some point, in my 1st play-through on Normal, when I took control of Cloud I found it hard but when I decided to take control of Aerith, I was able to beat it after like 10 retries (lol).

Every guide in the internet says Hell house is the hardest boss, hands down. I can say it's true in my case. In Hard mode, I beat it after like 20 retries but Sephiroth, only one retry (lol). But okay, people say Sephie is easy. Airbuster, Arsenal, and even Jenova are way easier than Hell house.
