Report a translation problem
It could be that you are playing the game under some different account and that's confusing it. Or your C drive might be full (each save is about 9MB). Or you might have some anti-ransomware that protects the Documents directory from any program it doesn't know about.
I don't have other accounts, I have plenty of hard drive space and I don't have any malware/ransomware protection app. This has me stumped. I just got a refund.
Seems that some users have issues with Document folder tied to One Drive.
This is not specific to FF7R, so might want to double check for future.
If no problem with other games, then all good. Just move on.

Thanks!! Same Probrem, just activated "Ransomware Protection" in Windows like 2 weeks ago. Disabled it and I can save again. Thanks!
