But that fix did not work for me...
I also notice the overlay's shape is not consistent. It's a pattern for sure, (like a tiled wallpaper pattern) but after a while I can go back to the map and the shape has changed. (See just above my current position in the pic below.)
Sometimes smaller and less intrusive, sometimes bigger and more. Like just right now, it's a simple small triangle.
I'd almost say it might be grabbing something from whatever the mini-map is showing currently for some reason.

I play on 2560x1440
2560x1440 is the same as 1920x1080, it is not ultra widescreen. You do not need any fix.
You have 1080p ultrawide, Google the flawless widescreen fix.
Oh well, I'm playing Rebirth now, and unfortunately Square is still oblivious to ultrawide, (unlike SEGA) and I'm glad to say that a similar mod on Github exists. The best part, is the map glitch does not exist in that one....so I wonder if it's the same mod just redone for Remake?
