Rename EOS file to Steam. Renaming it worked for me. It might work for you. If not, then back up the EOS folder. Then delete the original and start a new game. Save it, then move the contents from the EOS folder to the new Steam folder it created. It should be located in %USERPROFILE% \ Documents \My Games\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\.
EPIC IS INFERIOR!
I know I am VERY late to this discussion but I am following the same plan as OP and achievements matter to me. I've heard that I could use Steam Achievement Manager to unlock the achievements I've already unlocked. Just need to check which I already have and which not.
I just wonder how progressing achievements like for examle "Collect 3 Music Discs" would work when I transfer from Epic to Steam. Let's say I already have 2 discs and collect the third while playing on Steam, will the achievement unlock? Do you know this?
