Matter Deconstructor VS Scrapper

I'm looking for thermocrystal thingys, i know you can get them from the middle zone crystals but you can also get them from armoured car parts.

My question is does the matter deconstructor give more resources back than the scrapper? Is it worth it to detach armoured parts and bring them back wholesale VS just scrapping them in the field?

This post just gave me an idea, I'm going to try the liberator on the lead panels you find in the field, be really cool if I can bring back the entire panel to deconstruct.

The liberator is the best tool in the entire game because once you have the roof rack and trunk storage you dont pay for car parts anymore

IMPORTANT: PLACE ONE CHARGE BETWEEN CAR PARTS TO GET MULTIPLE PARTS PER USE.

You can then use these parts after you repair them in the machine, and when they get an X you scrap them for more resources.

It does not matter that they have 1.5K miles because you pay nothing for them and were scrap anyway.

I have so many resources because of this strategy that I need a pneumatube for all the steel and crystals these strategy gets me.

And it pays to have a few steel or gears, as the transmuters may be in a good mood and offer up a decent trade for these.
