I have no issue with the "difficulty" of the game, because it isn't a "difficulty" issue that the mission exits require you to be 2/3rds across the map before you can tun them on & the anchors typically spawn in the same locations as the exits ... which means you usually have to backtrack for miles to activate one, then drive right back to where you just were, and half of the time the storm overlaps the gate and you die.
That is just ♥♥♥♥ game design and active disrespect for players time.
Three junctions in three hours, though? That's an abnormally long amount of time to spend per junction. Most should take you ~15 minutes before the instability storm starts rolling in. And even if you stick around in Perpetual Stability junctions systematically going house to house, you're going to hit the limit of what your car storage can hold pretty quickly doing that, especially at that point in the game. You don't have the trunk storage upgrade, you don't have the XL Roof Storage. I don't recall if Side Storage is available, but even still...
I see lots of people complaining about how the game is horrible because they spent hours and hours on a single run and then died, which seems unfathomable. I just completed a run with eight junctions in an hour and thirty-five minutes. What are people actually spending their time doing?
I completed it not even going past the 2nd engine upgrade
think had 26 days not one death
best Tips
always park your car away from the anchors you collect 100m is min
avoid avoid avoid avoid, why repair when can just slow down go around
those yellow mini storms either avoid or park the car in drive sit it out till fly over
Electic armour good and armour front bumper, head light whatever
the Lim wep on back
Rad shield roof with resource detector
expanded seat fuel tank and battery
turbine side and rest just storage sides
2 spare fuels large
charge prod x2 and think had 3 blow torches
and 3x everything else need to repair other stuff + best tools gathering
I agree. From what I've seen it's from taking entirely too long. It's punishing on your car for any lengthy journey, even if you bring a bunch of extra kits to fix everything and are good at avoiding damage. It's much easier if you spend 10-15 minutes tops per zone.
And you dont turn off Gameplay Penalties that bother you but instead quit the game.
So maybe ask yourself whats wrong with your playstyle. The Developer added enough options (brighter nights, no penalty for failing a run, lots of useful upgrades to counter everything the game throws at you) and you are still mad at the game/developers.
Doesnt make much sense if you ask me.
Always pick up the anchors that are on your way and those that make you take a big detour, don’t take them if you don’t feel it and wait for the next area. Thus, when you arrive in the next area, it is very likely that you have enough anchor to teleport, which gives you time to explore. If this is not the case, focus on the anchors before exploring to be sure you can leave the area when the storm arrives. Once the storm is announced, you have a good 10 minutes to prepare to leave.
In short, it’s not the gameplay that’s bad, but your way of playing.
