Rear Left Passenger Door keeps closing and I don't understand what's causing it

Howdy yall,

First off: yes, I am aware of the quirks in the game. But every time I get out of my car, if the left rear passenger door is open, it will close. It's not the drivers door closing, it's not any door closing, it's just me getting out (not into) the car.

I tested this for 45 minutes trying to figure out what is causing it and it's driving me insane. It just feels like just getting out of the car and closing the door causes the left rear passenger door to close. And there are no driver options when guessing for quirks so I am beyond stumped here.

Is this a glitch or am I just stupid?

I was wondering the same. It looks like it's intentional behaviour, maybe to avoid possible buggy colliding or something like that.

I'm pretty sure that is always the case, the animation for exiting driver door intersects with where the rear left passsenger door is when it's open. You're bumping the door closed with your body when you get out.

In my case the screen goes black for a split second if I exit the car with the back left door open, instead of playing the animation all the way.

Run the diagnostic at the shop and find the problem to fix it. Putting my car in park made the passenger door open. When turning on my whippers my gas gauge would mimic the motion.

It does this when I'm outside on the dirt track, but doesn't do it when I'm in the shop.

What makes me think it's a bug is it's something that is clearly caused by me getting out of the car. I even removed the door to make sure it wasn't the door closing as I got out. And since there are no options in the diagnostic tool for the driver, it makes me think that it's a glitch even more.

2: If it is in the "closing direction" - the door will end up closing.

Ah no problem. In my game at least, anything weird with the car doors has been tied to my shifter being in park.

Nope. Getting out with the rear left door opened makes me clip with the door on the way out. It shuts and I bounce up a tiny bit.

I do get the little "bounce-up" as well.

Worth noting that if you use the Auto Park unit, getting out of the car is also causing the Shifter to move - so the Shifter maybe the trigger, not the Front Left Door
