For some reason, when playing my mouse cursor appears and I can't move the reticle.

I have been having a lot of issues with 5-3, I get to the big double jump but no matter what I try I can't complete the jump. Here is the part I'm struggling with: https://imgur.com/a/EAbhc1C I can't seem to make the jump no matter how I time my second jump, I always land a tiny bit short. I have tried sprinting the entire way down the bridge and hitting the ! block at full speed and starting my jump at the end of the platform but still can't manage it. ummm both my mouse and plugging a controller but can't seem to be able to look in any direction.
