We're planning on starting using an anti-cheat 100% when the game's out in Early Access. What kind of anti-cheat? We can't say as of yet what kind, but we'll do something about potential cheaters, rest assured.
Another thing I wanted to quickly mention: I understand that you're trying to point out the importance of having anti-cheat in an online game. However, I believe you could get your message across without describing the worst possible scenario. It's not very encouraging for the team to constantly hear assumptions the game could die a slow death before the game's even been released, if I'm being completely honest. I hope you understand!
Yeah, I'm keeping an eye on that Cycle thread. I wanna say that we're taking this very seriously, cause it's in our interests to have good anti-cheat software. We'll reveal more info on that in the future.
Hopefully these devs are able to do what no AAA studios have ever managed to do and make a game that is free of cheaters.
