the little guide for solo players.

AS MERC:

learn the map, it is super important if you want to navigate easily and safely and use darkness.

against merc: close all the light you see, use the darkness to your advantage, players will either power on their flashlight making them easy target or not power on their flashlight so they won't see you.

against alien: always go with the starter pack light items, 3 flares, 3 glowsticks, 1 flashlight.
in your items slot keep 3 different items, first flashlight, then flare then glowsticks.
if you get attacked go straight for the wall (stick to the wall or corner if possible) and while doing it switch to flashlight (even when first hearing the alien)
use the flashlight first while readying the flare(being ready to use it) when they emp, go straight for the flare, if they spit on you go straight for the glowstick.
*an important thing: shooting alien make them leave ghost mod, so if they follow you always try to put a bullet or two, even if they are not under light they will be stuck and loose energy and will probably do mistakes.
also keep in mind that a mag of assault rifle will kill an alien without light, you will kill them faster than light if you have enough ammo.

if it is a single alien, fight it off and continue looting.
if it's two aliens and it look like they are coordinated and don't die easily on you while using flashlight/flare/glowstick go straight for the extraction the best is 10kg because you won't have time to wait for the elevator while they attack you non stop and you will run out of resources and they will finish you off.


AS ALIEN:

first entering concentrate on solo players and while doing it eat as much as possible eggs until emp attacks is available (the cry ability isn't that useful when you are solo, it is more useful being two aliens working together)

when attacking always be ready to press R (ghost mode) attack and when he switch to light straight press R and disengage, don't try to attack while the light object is used.

when attacking keep in mind your attacks might hit an object instead of the players, so don't stay static and don't be too close to a player you are attacking.

after all solo player are either out or dead
then go for the teams, but you should go with emp, spit on them, and use smoke as much as possible, don't use abilities uselessly keep the energy for spit and smoke, wait of a good moment to attack players.
find which of the three elevators is active and fill it with eggs and stay around, when they come use vents to attacks them with spit and smoke they have harder time to attack you back but always while attacking be ready to press R (ghost mode)
use smoke attack to finish players off don't bother attacking them with hands if you can.

ANOTHER TIP for solo players, you can put a flare on your ass and carry the weapon with your hands.
If you are a single player, or you assemble a group or you don't play, it is a great disadvantage, the best loots will always be guarded by groups, time is against you, large groups will be killed, loots on the map plus dead players will be They will go as three people will easily fight against the aliens even if the aliens are premade. and then the aliens will come after you with your batched garbage. yes, also killed players of a team can become drones, and they are able to switch light on/off and use light against alien players.
and see/ping players they see for their teamate (but drone can be temporarily destroyed/downed by both alien player and players and turrets)

you have transformed scientist (mad scientist) who are npc and are not affected by light.
