Name change?

Is there anyway to change my in game name? What about the 2-4 players? Or am I stuck with what I have + "player#"? It shouldn't be hard to get this to happen?

I have the mobile version, so I dunno if it's the same for PC, but to change your name, go to the screen where you customize your avatar/vehicle,etc, and click on the pencil icon beside your name (Player 1 I guess).

On mobile, the default names is an adjective, an animal, and a random number (eg NoisyFerret215), not Player 1, Player 2, etc. When I play online, I see a ton of default names, so it doesn't look like many people know how to change it.

if you want to change your name in game of life 2 (steam pc version) follow these steps.

1. locate where you installed the game
2. open "gameoflife2_data"
3. open "plugins"
4. open "x86_64"
5. open "steam_emu" with notepad
6. find --- username=patrick patrick is just a sample name yours would be what you named it.
7. change name to what you want it to be
8. choose file in the top left and choose save

start the game and your new name should be what you changed it to.

Yes, It worked, I believe the file wasn't "steam_emu" but it was in that folder and did start with "steam".

I just want to be able to change it IN. GAME. Without having to go into any files! _And_ the CPU characters' names, too! Being able to play against "Mr. Spock", "Hercules", and "Sailor Moon" would be WAY more fun than just random Gabby, Arthur and Kurt.

Go to edit the player, hit up twice and hit enter. You should be able to change player 2's name.

Steam_emu doesn't exist. If there is some other .ini or config file someone please post.

I can edit Player #2's name in game no problem but that doesn't resolve the issue. idk why they don't just refer to your steam profile name if that's the platform you purchased the game in. seems like an issue that got brushed under the rug in dev.
