"Flatline" Ending

I keep getting this and i don't know why? the affection is high and I spend time with Ame at least every other day... is there a mechanic im missing here?

Read her texts, send her a sticker after every conversation. I've only ever gotten Flatline on purpose. There's like four warnings to remind you to engage with her.

I think if you are going to fast that could cause it, make sure you are reading all her text. Being sure to exhaust them all so you don't miss any. I run into this problem a lot.
