Unable to launch Tactics Orge: Reborn

Hi, I installed Tactics Orge a couple of hours ago, and when I attempt to launch it nothing happens. I was wondering has anyone managed to resolve this issue? I have attempted various things people have suggested such as turning off my anti-virus, but none of them seem to be working.

My laptop specs are: OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel i7 7770 HQ
RAM: 16GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. I also updated the drivers and verified the integrity of game files.

Maybe a GPU issue?

Many thanks, I had a look before. If its the case that my processor having AVX2 and not AVX makes it incompatible, I gonna ask for a refund and wait until a later patch solves this issue.

Your CPU is fine, AVX2 means it has AVX also

I had the same issue. The monitor would flash black and then kick to the OS. Tabbing in and out would result in a bit of background playing windowed but clicking into the window would result in a black screen and then kicking to os/ steam.

Normally we are comfortable messing with config files to fix ♥♥♥♥ square optimisation.

No config file was apparent in the files.

Some googling later and I found out you can force windowed mode by using the hotkey Alt +enter.

This worked when flashing black I hit Alt+ Enter got into windowed mode and changed the settings to launch in windowed.

How dumb is it to not have a config launcher to mess with.

Seriously how many people hit refund because of this.

Another possible fix.
In the Steam Library, right-click the game and select Properties.
In the Launch Options text box, type in –windowed.
If the game doesn't launch in windowed mode, try typing in –windowed -w 1024.

I have tried changing the windowed mode and still have the same problem. Anyone ever figure out this mess?
