Can you save and quit at any time?
Or do you have to be between maps/battles or something else? Thanks!

if you're in battle, and take the menu option to return to title screen, it makes a 'quicksave' of your current fight. You can return to the quicksave from main menu by selecting 'continue.'

Keep in mind you only get one quicksave and once you load it, its deleted.
