So you should be fine. Elden ring needs those stuff I mentioned also.
Try this:
In the Steam Library, right-click the game and select Properties.
In the Launch Options text box, type in –windowed.
If the game doesn't launch in windowed mode, try typing in –windowed -w 1024.

Your CPU probably lacking some instruction
I think they removed AVX requirement from Elden Ring, that's why it works

It says memory_corruption. What the ♥♥♥♥ is that, i'm going to reainstall. Though there is no AVX issue to be seen in the report.

Same problem on a Windows 10 laptop, when I launch it a black window opens and a popup with this "Sorry an Error has occured", creating a 8MB dump file that is not ascii. HELP, I want to play this!

I'm running into this issue as well. Validating the games files and then I'm gonna work on looking for a fix. if there's anyone more technically capable than me, the assistance would be super appreciated!

EDIT: Also, my CPU is an i7-6700

I'm running into the same issue; I suspect this game has an AVX requirement (i7 975 here which supports SSE4.2 but not AVX).

Why this game would need AVX is another question altogether if that is the case.

I did all of that, nothing worked so far. It could be that stupid AVX thing though. What are your CPUs?

I'll test in a hour... if I get the same error, it's 100% an AVX problem
