In the PSP version, your characters start with around 95-100 hp-ish and deal around 30-40 damage on each hit
Now it's 400 hp-ish already from the beginning, and you deal around 80 damage
Not a big deal, but ruins the sense of progression if you start from big numbers already from the start.
Luckily this isn't nearly as bad!
While I'm sure the game is great, there was no reason to change this.
They raise the HP to make the game balanced. Unless you want the old boss died in 1 shot. well...
TO psp was chunk of unbalance level design ever. Mob enemy died on 1~2 hit, boss feel like just those random mob.
There is mod named one vision, the modder raising stat overall each character, removing redundant stat boost like strenghten I II II,I to balance the game he opted to raise unit HP over all. So you started with 80 damage, and enemy have like 300 hp at start. Not to make boss like some random generic.
And Reborn just doing the same as that one.
