If it is important, get the switch version, otherwise get the PC version. Both the Switch version and PC version seem well optimized.
Keep in mind that the PC version will most likely end up with mods. And the Switch is 5 years old. Nintendo may very well announce a new system next year. So the PC version will probably age better.
That said, from the sound of reviews neither choice is a poor one; and seeing more of these classic games coming to accessible platforms and maybe even seeing more of their type is reason for me to buy it again at some point.
If portability is a factor get a steamdeck and get the best of both worlds...
I just wish they would say when/if the Front Mission remakes are coming to PC so I won't double dip it.
In which case, you can have both mods and portability!
And if they dont have one, if they find a steam deck to be worth the price of admission.
Still twiddling my thumbs here wondering when Valve well 'let' me purchase one..
I was considering getting one, but between the lack of availability and the fact that I already have a gaming laptop, made me consider against it.
Still great piece of hardware but, for now there is no rush.
