Is Bayin worth saving?

He's gotta be the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i've encountered in this game so far, just flat out runs out in front and dies every time, I tried giving him healing items and a shift stone but he wont use it like other guests do, any tips?

I'm guessing you're talking about after saving him at the fort, right?
If he doesn't have any spells, he'll try to melee, so make sure he has a spell to cast from the back row.
Other than that give him the tankiest gear you can (+1 crafted gear is really strong at that point)

Bayin is a pretty good caster. Only problem with him is that he's slower than other unique casters.
