Crafting
Mmmh, right now i'm at the beginning of act 3 and tried a few things. Imo it is a little bid useless to craft sundries. The amount of ingredients i have found (and i have done not few training) is ridiculous low.
And the price to buy a for example a mending salve +1 or to craft it without having the ingredients is exactly the same.
A little bid dissapointing :(

It was a bit more worth it in the PSP version because it was still pretty much guaranteed 100% success rate with a chance to craft more than 1.
In this version, all it's really good for is upgrading the Mend Leaf you find on the map and upgrading them up into actually usable healing items.
Considering that you can't buy the MP leaves, though, I would always upgrade those to the 100MP seeds. Going any higher than that is possibly not worth it (the RT cost jumps a fair bit from the 100MP seed to the % ones), but I would definitely never use the basic mana leaf.

So far i have not to use any Mend Leaf, because usually the battle is starting so slow that my clerics have enough mana till they have to do the healing :)
Furthermore: Upgrading the Mend leaf for what? To save a few GOTS, which you will get with one training battle, which you have to do anyways, if you want to have a few options in case of classes and elements. On second thought i don't have the math done but if you sell the mend leafs, maybe you haven't to do the traininbg for GOTS battles anyways.

He's referring to Magic Leaves, not Mending Leaves. The Magic Leaves you find can be crafted into items that restore significantly more MP. They are limited (you occasionally find them on the battlefield or as enemy drops), but in a tough fight, instantly jacking up your MP at the start lets your characters immediately and constantly use their finishers.

I'm also not sure if you can buy Fruits of the Adept or you have to craft them. If you can't buy them they are worth crafting some of as they restore 10% HP and more importantly MP. Useful at the start of a battle when you don't get an early Meditate to go off on a magic user.
