Rogue Class
Has anyone gotten rogue classmarks? I've fought quite a few I'm almost done with chapter 4 and I haven't gotten a single one.

Rogue isn't available to the player in this version. Enemy rogues don't drop marks and can't be recruited. People have said it was due to some AI issues with the class. I'm really hoping it gets patched in at some point, but not terribly likely.

If you recruit the class with cheat engine it still has Rogue growth and unique skills that can be learned. It can level up too of course.
i seem to recall stealing items was tedious as ♥♥♥♥, and i dont miss it. especially for an obsessive collector like me. though i may be confusing this with FFT.

u cant have rogue now its a npc class only now unless u cheat and get it with cheat engine , they are not that good anyway at least in this version

I dont get it, this looks like the devs are lazy to cut off parts of the game and lauch as it is....it will not shock me if rogue comes as a DLC to the game.
Im playing it, but its a donwgrade from the original version

Basically. The excuse was that rogues "broke" the ai, but as you can see, this game's ai is already pretty broken.

Mages don't use debuffs, ai guests are suicidal, and enemies seem to ignore the new card mechanic.

Fixed*

I actually liked steal in the psp version because it was a cheap way to passively earn crafting mats.

I still don't know why rogues break the AI specifically, the enemies rogue seem to function fine?
Pickleton Nov 28, 2022 @ 4:56pm
Stealing until the enemy is naked is probably hard to balance around without just giving certain items or enemies immunity.

Don't forget the other unique enemy only classes like, Kill seeker, Canaibal, Shadow Knight unfortunately they aren't actually as unique as rogue but are just normal classes with boosted stats.

Blood Hunter being the worst, Fighting Archers with 800+ archery stats isn't fun if they start with high ground.

I can see it now...at the end of chapter 2c

Rogue Denam: "Vyce, why are you naked?"

Chaos Vyce: "I'll still kill you!"

OMG I never noticed that. I wonder why they didn't put in a Rogue class on this version. Didn't they have the skill to throw potions to chars? That was really a nice feature about them in PSP. Sigh I'm already missing the PSP version LOL.

Not breaking or anything.. removed for AI optimisation.
And probably steal is no longer needed because loot drop is also changed a lot (like material drops in bundle instead of one etc.).

No, rogue can steal.
It's Beast Tamer (and Ranger) that can lobber, and they are still in this version.
