I really wish weapon skills level a lot faster.
I'm annoyed by the slow speed that weapon skills seem to level, unless I'm missing something, but I'm only getting one level per training battle. for example, a beserker who is using knifes, currently level 4 skill, so I need to spend a lot of time trying to level this skill up to level 14. Is there a faster way? as I've hit my char level cap. But really annoyed by the slow levelling of weapon skills in general.

I'd also like to know this. The ability to swap classes feels somewhat pointless if the class I want to change to doesn't allow the weapon I've been training with, putting me back at level 1. I feel like I'm missing something.

All I've been doing with new characters is just do ai controlled training battles so they can level their weapons and I can alt tab out.

Why are you even trying to lv up knives on a berserker?

I wasn't sure what weapon to use, I was using a 2h axe, but when a beserker counterattacks, it kept hitting some of my team. I just read on another forum, that 1H weapons seem to be a better choice, either hammers or 1H axes and shields. not sure what other weapons to use. I still learning the game. So advice would be useful.

But still, levelling up weapon skills seem super slow, and that is also my point.

The best way to overcome this issue is to use CheatEngine to speed up the game, and let do training battles with your entire team set to AI. Each battle will only last a minute or two, and you'll be at max weapon skill after just a dozen fights.

Go into a training battle with the ability to petrify (I use a Petridart Blowgun). Set your Beserker up with Pincer.

Eliminate all the enemies except for one of the tankier ones, and that one continue to petrify him. Set the Beserker up behind him, and melee the unit with your others. He'll get weapon XP from the Pincer attacks as well as his own.

Keep a healer or two to keep the petrified unit alive.

The lower your skill is, the higher it levels. At level 40, I can switch weapon skills and do 1-20 in two battles.

That's actually extremely good to know! I don't know if I would have tried that. Thanks!

It levels decently for me, my Denam goes from hammer to 2h sword and it takes about 4-5 training battle for him to go to lvl 10 and unlock the first finisher.

Still, I wish they can combine the 2h and 1h weapons skill together, like hammer.

Double post, but I read Gamefaqs forums and there's one more way to level up weapon skill in just one (training) battle, you can hit your own bros and it will still count.
Just have some clerics heal you guys up while you wack each other.
