Recruit chance always 0%
Hy,

I'm trying to recruit all kinds of units (Fae, humans, Vartans etc...) yet everytime i try i get a 0% chance to have it succeed.

I have the appropriate skills, lower the units health, and about anything else i can think of, yet it just doesnt seem to work for me...

am i doing something wrong or does anyone have a good wiki page they can link me to, i'm really stuck on this part of the game.

The two things I imagine could be the problem here are loyalty or proximity.

Even though recruit skills have full map range in Reborn, they only really work if you're right next to the target. So if you're trying to recruit from across the map, that could be the issue.

For loyalty, in the condition screen you can hit the ? button and hover over a unit's name. The given message will reflect their loyalty to their leader. For example "They speak about you openly with disdain" is a low loyalty unit that you'll have a better chance to recruit. As long as they're low HP and you're closeby though, even high loyalty units can be recruited at a lower chance.

Make sure it's not a training battle and also make sure to stand right next to the unit you're trying to recruit.

I have found that you need to be right next to the target unit. Your recruit skill may have a long range, but honestly it's not going to work at range.

Hey Yeah, that could be it! Didnt want to put my units out of position, i'll try that.
Thanks!

Yep, i'm aware that in training you cant recruit, which i find a little weird, since you barely get anything special in those missions to actually recruit. hopefully they'll change it later on.

Yeah...the training feature is a really lackluster alternative to random battles, it's unfortunate.

yeah as someone mentioned its generally a range thing. if you get up in their grill when they are low the % will often be 25-30% from the direct front back side tiles and like 15%ish from the diagonal ones.

Is it still a thing that if recruitment fails and you rewind with the chariot that standing on a different spot alters the outcome? I remember something like that from the old game anyway

Yes, you "may" change the outcome.
