Apparently THIS is how you get Wicce Class for Deneb

[Like everyone elese, I followed the older guides and WASTED a lot of time... here's the accurate one - I tested it myself.

The principle is that you need to purchase 1 orb of each element from Deneb to trigger her side quest.

Step 1:

Collect beasts.

You need to trigger the sale of Orbs in Deneb's shop. You just need to auction ONE beast of the following. Hence,

Gale Orb triggered by auction of Cloud Dragon or Gryphon

Dust Orb - Earth Dragon

Storm Orb - Thunder Dragon

Inferno Orb - Flame Dragon or Cyclops

Black Ice Orb - Frost Dragon

Cataract Orb - Flood Dragon or Octopus

Radiant Orb - Arc Dragon

Gloom Orb - Dark Dragon or Cockatrice

Void Hydra - Hydra

I got most of the beasts from Phorampa Wildwood.

Step 2:

Auction all these beasts at Deneb's.

Read Warren Report on Deneb during Chapter 4 to unlock her shop.

Deneb is found in these shops according to the date of the month.

1, 15 Port Omish

2, 16 Grimsby

3, 17 Heim

4, 18 Oeram

5, 19 Barnicia

6, 20 Golyat

7, 21 Almorica

8, 22 Rhime

9, 23 Kysaro

10, 24 Phidoch

11, 25 Balmamusa

12 Coritanae

13 Asyton

14 Brigantys

Step 2a (if you want her as Wicce class)

Unlock Palace of the Dead.

The Palace of the Dead can only be unlocked in Chapter 4 - read Warren Report 'Mysterious Blast on Exeter' and the Palace can be assessed in the North through Bortegun Fens.

Go to level 3 and unlock the secret door in the Northwest corner - it is a conspicuous clear tile surrounded by slime.

Doing that will unlock the ability to upgrade Relics at shops.

Upgrade Relics THREE (3) times at Deneb's shop - before you buy the orbs.This will make her a Wicce after you recruit her. The relics can be different types; as long as you just purchase the service at Deneb's for 3 times.

(I am not sure how to collect relics - but at this point I had 4 Thunder Bows; and I then upgraded it 3 times)

Step 3:

Buy 1 of each Orb at her shop after the beasts are auctioned - total 9 orbs.

This will trigger an event after you leave the shop.

Choose 'No. Let's have it'.

Go to Vasque and complete the battle.

DENEB IS YOURS! WELL DONE! This is a rough guide - I will edit it cleared as I move on.

Do you have to buy the orbs AFTER you've upgraded the relics? Or can they be bought at any time?

I would wait til after the relics just to be safe.
