It's in the works at least, since it was listed in the Nvidia leak from a while ago that also leaked this Tactics Ogre remaster, alongside a Final Fantasy 9 remake. Just a matter of when at this point! Though without stacked Square's current lineup is this year, I assume it won't be for at least a little while longer.

Well anyway, it's going to be released in 2023 the soonest, so that will make it 2024 before it's a sane price on a sale, so we still have plenty of time.

FF Tactics remake was already confirmed a long time ago. From what I read, it was supposed to have come out before this but it got pushed back to 2023 for some reason.

It wasn't confirmed, but it pretty clear they are AT LEAST working on something FFTactics. Whether it is a remaster, remake, collection, sequel (highly unlikely), who knows. My personal guess? An Ivalice Collection with a remastered FFT, TA, TA2 and Vagrant Story in 2023 (2 games wouldn't surprise me, FFT/VS and TA/TA2), and then in 2024 a full FFT remake. I think they are testing the waters with Front Mission and Triangle Strategy and this remaster. Seeing if a full remake is worth the money to do in-studio, or if it might be better to hand it off to Forever Entertainment to remake after they finish Front Mission 3. OR possibly they want to make another FFT game, using the team that made Triangle Strategy. Which is in-house.

The Nvidia leak hasn't proven to be 100% accurate. I think they may have plans for a number of remakes but what was leaked was like...early EARLY development, and things have been pushed back.
