Not finding save game

This has happened a few times. It seems since the latest major update, Desynced does not close down properly that can lead to an issue of the save games not being found. Even if it does close clean, the save may not be listed the next time you load up.

I have checked my file directory and the save games are there, well many saved games but now none are been showing to load. Even the continue option is not there. It is acting like it is a clean install, but the files are there. If I try to start a new game and use the same file name, it add s (number) to it., So in another way it knows thew files is there as you can not replace it. I cannot be putting in the play hours just to be forced to restart. I am advanced again just to lose the Continue option.

That is indeed not intended behavior. Have you perhaps switched branches recently? Could you check that you are on the latest main branch and not a beta branch? You could also try turning off steam cloud to see if this is affecting anything. You could also try running the game with -log in the launch options to see if there is any extra information printed out here that might help debug it. You could also try pressing F8 while playing and submitting a save game so we can check to see that the save itself is actually working okay.

I have not changed branch. I have been on the same branch every time it has happened. The files are there, for some reason, the game is not seeing them. I will try the -log, but not familiar with it. I have kept my files in case the game decides to recognise them again. I looked at the F8, but not sure how that will help as I will be in a new game and not sure how that links through. I will check later.
