Why is the weapon a crystal? It's so strange

Industrialized robots use "magical crystals" as weapons, which is a visual disaster. I am not opposed to crystal weapons, but I would prefer some turret shaped weapons and equipment, like human technology's missile turrets. Crystal weapons can open up another research route, just like withering technology or virus technology.

I would prefer to have machine gun turrets, artillery turrets, and turret designs similar to mining equipment at the beginning, rather than a crystal that looks like a wizard's wand, full of strange and evil fun.



I have been playing for a long time since the release. I personally feel that the unlocking sequence of technology needs to be adjusted. Some technologies are very cumbersome and time-consuming to unlock, while obtaining human technology, withering technology, and virus technology is quite time-consuming and laborious. I still don't know how to unlock alien technology, and how to crack alien relics? Please let me know Thank you

they not all crystals... many many types of turrets if you play the game 100 hours:)

beside.. when you harvest tonz of crystals in natural to make weapon out of it.. crystals are considered future tech so... its normal and i like it.. they already make crystal electric boards .. or atleast experiment with crystals today at high tech stuff

They're not magical any more than quartz is magical. All kinds of crystals and gemstones have been used for optics throughout human history. Examples abound. They're lasers using the crystal as a focusing medium.

Also, someone else has mentioned there *are* other weapon types further in the research trees. I like the blight lasers personally. Nothing quite like shooting plague bugs with more plague.

It's like a laser, so I imagine it uses light to reflect and beam a shot to something.
