An "At Dead Of Night" review in 2025, yes. I remember seeing this game on Youtube for the first time back in 2021/2022 and wanted to play it almost immediately. I mean, lets compare it other games; I haven't seen a game with the realistic style like this one, (for now at least) and it uses real life situations that probably some of its community can relate too. Yea sure, lots of games do that but I haven't seen a game who uses real life situations comparing to Dr.Bose and Mrs.Hall's story. With all that being said, lets do a quick overview from my own experience from the game.

Graphics - 4/5
Don't get me wrong, the graphics are amazing; the realism, attention to detail everything is just spectacular. One thing I have noticed is the shading, or shaders', sometimes glitch. I have tried adjusting it from my computer on my end, seeing if that was the problem but it wasn't, (tested my computer on other games as well to confirm). I'm sure its just a bug, and I'm not sure if the game will be updated any time soon, (I don't think so), but if it does hopefully that can be fixed.

Story - 5/5
The story is incredible. I mean, the way that its laid out and given to you can be a little confusing sometimes, but you catch on easy. I love how you have to work, explore, find, and put together the pieces in order to get the story to progress. Yes yes, most games do that as well, but the way that "At Dead Of Night" formats it, is different. Now if you're looking to buy this game and you are sensitive to thing such as abuse, suicide, alcohol, blood etc, then definitely be careful when playing this game. There are other very serious and sensitive topics in the game, so if you want to find out you'll have to play for yourself.

AI overall (Jimmy) - 3/5
I love jimmy's character, and the way they use him throughout the game to track down Maya, but there are definitely some things to complain about. One thing being the area around 222 and 223 on the second floor. If you don't know this area, its a dead end and Jimmy's AI loves glitching there. He will constantly check and camp there, which can be super annoying and Id have to constantly reset the game to reset his AI just to be able to make it out of that area. And throughout the story line you had to go there multiple times, so having to do that constantly was an absolute DRAG. Another big glitch Id say is something that happened in a popular Youtuber 8-Bit Ryan's (I think) gameplay as well. It happened on the 3rd floor where on the side where there are only two rooms, and it would be where you looked through the peep hole or even just stood there and it would glitch you into the hallway and you couldn't go into either room, or towards the elevator. Sometimes if you tried hard enough the game would fix itself, and by trying hard enough I mean spinning in constant circles, but most of the time I just got hit by Jimmy. Restarting the game also helped.

AI overall (cutscenes) - 3/5
I really like the aspect of going to the different parts of the hotel to progress story, and see it as how the different spirits saw it, but sometimes the cutscenes would glitch. For example, between the cutscene when Amy would be telling off Jimmy, (hallway with the knight), it would take roaming the hallway, going into the bedroom that she goes too, or even like usual, restarting the game to even activate the cutscene. This happened to me a couple times (again) between spirits Amy, Dr. Bose, and Harvey. It got super annoying considering how Jimmy slowly creeps up on you, and I died numerous because of this but I eventually got past it, which led me to beating the game.
