Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition

Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition

View Stats:
"Your PC does not meet minimum requirements for PC Enhanced version of metro exodus"
Unsure why I am getting this error. Current specs:
Win10 22H2
I7-8700K
32GB RAM
NVIDIA 1080Ti

Link to specs for enhanced version: https://www.metrothegame.com/pcspecs/

Anyone else get this despite having recommended/minimum specs and found a fix?

TIA

1080ti is below minimum spec
Play the regular version. The Enhanced edition requires a GPU with raytracing capabilities.

The 10XX only got RT unlocked halfway through an update. If the minimum specs wants a model of the RT series. The lowest is 2060, they simply ruled out the 10XX because it would only cause problems.

It will be less about the general performance that a 1080TI clearly offers in contrast to a 2060, but rather about the RT components and functions. Roughly speaking: With the RT update for the 10XX series, the GPU basically simulates the missing RT components, which then means that there is a huge lack of performance and the game would like to have a lot of both. But it’s no big deal: the standard edition is also able to look extremely good.

And you can also see quite clearly in the graphic how the performance of the 1080TI drops compared to the 2060 using RTGI/RTXGI.

I have a RTX Nvidia 3060 and it won't play this GPU.

It works on mine. 12GB

I checked andI'm using about 5gb vram at 1080p, so if you have a 6gb card I can imagine it's pushing it at that res, and not possible at higher ones. Guessing though.

The 1080ti you have while still a decent GPU it doesnt have the hardware to support some of the effect of the Enhanced Edition of the Game, but dont fret you can still enjoy the regular version. Have fun.
1080Ti rlly? I have 3070 and it feels old... esspeselly for higher resolutions

1080 ti is still relevant, but will not realistically be supported by any games with RT.

However, a 6800 XT plays the game fine on ultra, and AMD is behind Nvidia substantially with RT technology. Plan accordingly.
