Hard Crashing to Desktop.
Recently upgraded my hardware so I thought about playing the enhanced edition. Unfortunately the game just randomly freezes, and crashes to desktop completely randomly (sometimes after a few minutes, if I pause, etc) with a driver timeout error from the AMD software.
If it helps currently using an RX 7900XT (GPU) and Ryzen 7 7700 (CPU)

Have you already tried the standard stuff like verifying game files, deleting steam cache and restart?

Yup, did everything, but it still just seems to crash randomly.
On one run it all seemed to work but then crashed right after the ending cutscene of the tutorial mission completed.

By any chance, is your system overclocked (cpu/gpu)?

AMD driver timeout seems to be a known issue, web search results.[duckduckgo.com]

Nope, everything is running at the stock settings as they were when I got the new hardware, exception being that I have an EXPO profile enabled on my RAM (6000MT/s, CL30).

I see, rather unfortunate then but I'm not fully sure if it's a system issue, as I'm completely solid when stress testing and playing other games. Will look into it though.

Try deactivating if possible.

So far still the same result. Tried talking to support but got rather canned responses unfortunately. So far I've just uninstalled and I guess will try another day.

Hate to see it. Al-though funnily enough I've seen this happen to people with RTX 4090s or 3080's.

Have you tried turning tesselation off

for some reason that was one of the main reasons people were having crashes

Installing old drivers?

Same issue
Same, just got this today and it constantly crashes. Most times I can't even get into the game and it just crashes (even in safe mode). Might have to get a refund.

You spent 51 minutes in the game without even playing?
