Somehow my NV goggle makes me visible to the enemies.
When I use night vision (no matter is the 1st or 2nd generation) the enemy will still spotted me as like if I turns the headlights on and I also noticed the watch's light bulb lights up when I turn off the NV.

So I really have to fight almost every night battle in total darkness.

Actually it's never dark because the moon is always full.............. NV goggles imo are useless.

It happen even indoor or underground in total darkness too, when I switch off all the lights and torches and then turn on the night vision then the enemies still sees me when I'm in their line of sights( mostly disregard distant since indoor doesn't typically far apart to each other but still significantly far enough when compared using NV get spotted and NV off but not get spotted if the interior lights are off.

The enemy was like : WHO GOES THERE !?

Me : WTF?!

You need to adjust your gamma, you should be able to see in the dark no matter what.

Are you crouching down or just running about?
Are the enemies human or the ones that can see in the dark?
The enemies can also hear you.
Are you sure you are not just turning your flash light on instead of night vision?

Odd one, and sorry for resurrecting this dead thread from three years ago, but did you ever find a fix for this?

I'm having exactly the same error. Seems like there's only a handful of people who have experienced it too.

From looking into other threads it seems to pop up in Caspian, possibly related to acquiring the NVG upgrade in the right hand side of the map.

Testing in game it seems to only light up the LED on Artyom's watch when you're near to a wall or object. My complete lack of game development expertise thinks that when the player toggles NVGs on the game engine is probably rendering a "light" that is picked up by the NVG overlay to emulate IR light or similar, mimicking the effects of a real NVG.

I reckon the game is picking this "light" up and treating it as local ambient light, assuming that the player is stood next to an in world light source. Therefore, the game engine thinks the player is illuminated by world lighting and thus can be seen by enemy AI.

I could also be completely wrong lmao, but I think this makes sense.

I appreciate that you probably haven't played this in a long while, but this bug is irritating me and this thread is the longest discussion I've seen about it lol

I just kinda "move on" and either avoid most of the unimportant area or just out right murdered everybody to death LOL. Or just kill them one by one with throwing knife but that need incredible patience cus you need to wait the absolute right moment (done a lot of reloading save file which makes me went crazy)

Yeah I moved onto another game after getting frustrated with this. Cyberpunk 2.21 slaps now if you've not played it :steamhappy:

Thanks for coming back to answer my reply though buddy. Happy new year!
