Broken gas mask stuck in the game

I have broken gas mask since mission you get on the train and i wasn't able to find lying good one anywhere. I already had problem sneak through yard to hangar where train is located. And in next mission when you get to next train to blow it up i choke, i cannot change filter that is not problem but because mask is broken! I already finished game before on Ranger no problem WTF?

Do i need to play whole game from start because of this? I had playthrough in Metro Last Light where i run all out of ammo on mutant boss fight in mine and couldn't progress because of that.

Is there cheat or something so i don't have to start again, or do you know about any gas mask lying in previous mission anywhere?

Did you try wiping you mask? Artyom will apply a white tape on top of the hole to patch it up if it breaks.
I had my mask break in the last level in the leech infested tunnel and was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ coz no bench (even tried just legging it to next bench with no luck), but then i wiped the mask by accident and Artyom put up small white tape on the hole.

Thanks that solved it i wasn't playing game a while and i was on Ranger so it didn't give pop out message before!

How do you wipe the mask with a controller???

If you hold g on pc it wipes mask, then probably what is putting gas mask on hold it
