The coding of this game is trash
Even on low settings it stutters! How come devs never bothered to fix it?

I haven't checked the standard version yet, but it is f'ing sad that I can't play this game even with a 4090 because of bad coding.

Edit: yeah, the same happens in the standard version.

Edit²: Read the comments. I found the issue.

I was rude? I was just being logical. But you were rude by bringing something completely unrelated to the topic and derailing it just so you could shoot me down and feel better about you not having money. Rude people calling others rude... Go figure. Have a good one

I work as a IT specialist for application development, shouldn't that be logical?

But thank you, have either a great Day.

Use process lasso, set the game to never use E-cores.

How does that work? I thought you'd have to go to the BIOS everytime to deactivate E-cores. Can you turn them on and off on the fly with that software?

There is nothing wrong with Intel. E-cores are fine. The problem is always with lazy coding and/or Windows 10.

This game runs fine for me on Windows 11 on Intel with E-cores, as most games do. But it does sound like E-cores issue if you're on Windows 10. If you have a new Intel CPU with E-cores then you should be on Windows 11.

This is the way to handle this. Don't disable cores in the BIOS. It's not necessary and gimps your CPU for everything else.

Interesting. I'll give a try!

It worked but it didn't. I disabled all E-cores of my 12700k and it fixed 99% of the stuttering. The game ran super smooth with the exception that every ~4 seconds there was a frametime spike and it's annoying af!!! The game was running 130-144 and I used Nvidia control panel to cap it at 120. The frimetime was a flatline. No variations. But every ~4 seconds there was a spike and the stutter happened. I give up on this game.

Sounds more like an unbalanced system or wrong settings to me.

Even with RT enabled and at ultra setting i get stable 60 Fps on a 3050 + 5700× system. That's using this GPU.
So coding can't be that bad. ^^

Also no chrashes so far.
But sure, if the peasant can't swim, it must be the swimming suits fault. Right? :FC5_Father: ^^

Dude's envious because he has a f'ing 3050!!!! LMFAO

Why do you guys need a 4090? The are useless from a point of aging GPU's, I still have a 2070 RTX and the next GPU is going to be a cheap one under 300€.

Nvidia and other Company's pump all 6 Months new GPU's out for insane prices's that cost a living.

4k and raytracing on metro exodus enhanced never looked better...

Yea, a 4090 provides that with a higher than 60 framerate. often 110-150+

The question is... Why not if I have the budget?

You have the budget for a 2070 and 300euro for your next card, while some of us I have a budget for high-framerate gaming to support my 144hz monitor's and so on...

So, again I ask you, why not?

@Ceceli,

When enhanced edition released a year + ago, I upgraded my OS to win11, and never looked back.

Is there a reason why you can't upgrade from win10 by chance? Productivity or legacy software outside of gaming perhaps?

With 12 gen or above, win10 will be a hamper for your hybrid chip while gaming, always. Metro won't be the only game to hamper your E core experience, and essentially you will just have to leave your Ecores dead, indefinitely for gaming in general.

If nothing else aside of gaming is stopping you, I'd just suffer the 30mins wait-time to upgrade and adjust to win11.

Dumar, everybody knows that Win11 is terrible. Not a single game has had this issue. I can play both old games and 'next gen' games just fine. I fixed the E-cores issue that it's related with Win10 via Process Lasso. Read my findings above.

Oh, lol that stuff... In 2023, man...

"Win11 terrible vs win10" on intel cpu's is hogwash, especially with high-end hardware.

Really, for gaming and general productivity, it's not the case. If anything you are legit leaving performance on the table with 12gen and up. (If you had AMD, I'd say, cool, because there's zero benefit and probably more weird issues on win11 for their chip.)

I was on win10 once but then thought, at best I have hardware that legit receives a free 'buff' in non-gaming, at worst no compatibility issues games old or new, (e.g.no process lasso, or manually disabling e-cores in UEFI.)

Anyway, to each their own I guess! Cheers mate!

This is a wonderful game I wish everyone could experience fully!

Everyone makes jokes of intel cpu with e-cores. You can find plenty of articles where they recommend to ditch cpus with e-cores or to disable them in BIOS, because its doing more harm than good. Im not making fun of him, but his cpu, thats different ;) And as we can see, problem is his system, not game, so I was right at the end :)
That’s BS, disabling e-cores in windows 11 in 13gen intel creates a slideshow in this game. Even in menus.

This must be an Intel-Thing.. running perfectly find with an AMD 5800H+RTX3070
