Difference between Metro Exodus and Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition
Hello,

I just bought Metro Exodus Gold Edition and I see "Metro Exodus" and "Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition" both separated games in my library. Besides that the Enhanced Edition is supposed to have better graphics, is there any difference between these two games ?

One is enhanced the other is not :)

Joke aside, I was wondering the exact same thing.

There are no gameplay and content differences between both versions. The Enhanced Edition is a free update that allows Global Illumination ray tracing (lighting and shadow) as well as ray traced reflections (with screen spaced reflections for certain bodies of water). To run the enhanced edition you have to have a GPU that supports ray tracing and if you have an Nvidia card you can make use of DLSS to assist with performance.

No, you only install one or the other. Enhanced Edition is for RTX capable setups only. If you don't have an RTX GPU, you should install the regular version.

It a bit confusing because the regular version says it has the enhanced version included?

Yes, the enhanced edition comes free with the regular version. It's listed as a separate game in your Steam library. They basically had to make it a separate game because of various upgrades they made to the engine for "next gen". Probably would have been less confusing if they called it something like RTX Edition or something.
