Game crashing on startup.

"Metro Exodus: Fatal Error". I got crashed on the original Metro Exodus game frequently and now this version won't even launch, is there a fix to the fatal crash error? I really want to play the game, but my past experience with metro exodus crashes was very unplayable(unable to beat the game). If anyone knows a way to fix this I would love to know!

support helped me with my issue

1. Right-click on the game entry and go to 'Properties'
2. Open the 'Local files' tab
3. 'Browse'
4. In the Finder window, right-click on 'MetroExodus'
5. 'Get Info'
6. Check the 'Scale to fit below built-in camera'
7. Hit ok and then launch from Finder

I got a CTD after it told me that my 1080 Ti doesn't support DirectX 1.1. That's not a typo, that's what it said - DirectX 1.1.

Well, reguardless of what the error read; your 1080ti doesn't support DirectX 12 Ultimate, so you can't run Enhanced Edition. You should play the normal version instead.

I too had this issue. I tried everything, nothing would resolve it. After many emails back and forward with support, the conclusion is that the enhanced edition game is not compatible with CPUs that do not support AVX instruction set extensions.
Even though my machine is more than powerful enough for the enhanced edition, I am relegated to the base game.
I have not yet tried the base game.

Yes same here, bluetooth headphones were causing crashes on startup. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.

Had my headset set wrong to chat (1 channel) changed to game (2 channels) and fixed the startup crash. thanx alot

same here, rtx 3070 with latest win 11, there is notif my system isnt meet minimum requirement and crashes right away

In my case, a stupid problem with a stupid solution: disconnect your bluetooth/wireless headset/headphone and test again. It worked for me. Thanks for the person who posted this information <3 Works on dec/24
