Volga Missing Mist

So I'm at the Volga on my way to get the teddy bear by the large oil containers. I'm next to the safe house. I remember in the original version of the game that this area was misty/foggy which really set an ominous mood and creepy atmosphere.

Now standing here in the Enhanced Version, the air is clearer than on top of Mt. Everest. No mist, no fog, just pure raw draw distance. It's really diminished the atmosphere of the area and looks very bland now.

Anyone else experience/notice this? Trying to figure out if it's a bug or if my version is messing up.

DId you check during different times?
Maybe the fog is present during the night or early in the morning.

I'll check it out later today as I'll be heading there so I'll comment again later.

The weather in Metro Exodus is scripted and not dynamic, so it changes over time.

Return another time and there may be mist.

On Volga map second day around 12pm gives a giant thunderstorm with heavy rain.

Edit: Weather would change of course with a dynamic weather system, too. But in this game weather changes according to the will of the devs.

new game plus in my experience always starts with mist on volga makes it more dynamic if you select the weather option
