game crashes on start up

gtx 1050ti ryzen 3 3100, all drivers upto date windows running on version 20H2, removed all sorts of overlay from nvidia, discord and steam. any fix?

You need an RTX card to play the Enhanced Edition.

Delete the Enhanced Edition and play the standard version.

I downloaded the enhanced version cause the specs down there said a gtx 1050, no advices that only rtx cards can run the enhanced version

Still error message and then crash... no enhance worked, wish Steam offered that

so i want to ask a serious question that do i really need a RTX card to play Enhanced Edition? I have a GTX 1060 and it keeps giving me an error when i start EE. Please answer and appreciate the truth, please no pinguin here

I just decided to give the game another go but on Enhanced Edition, and it would only go so far as the intro videos and then crash immediately. I had played the older version, so I decided to try deleting the old cfg files, and that did the trick for me.

I found mine at C:\Users\Your_Username\Saved Games\Metro Exodus\76561197962908100

- user.cfg
- profile.cfg

Nuked those, and I'm in the game.
