HP on melee doesn't make much of a different is you take a big hit, but it can help keep you topped off. I was healing around 12 HP per melee poke with a spear.
The HP steal spell is mostly useless most of the time. However, if you cast it right before landing a fatal blow, it can heal a huge chunk. Against some enemies, I was getting back around 200 HP if I casted it before a fatal blow.
Do you mean the training missions?
HP regen is extremely plentiful in this game. You can upgrade the potion. At maximum it will be 10 charges that heal 400HP each. On top of that you can use 9x dragon cure's powder that restore pretty much max hp each. I think you might be able to get them from something, dont recall what.
Even without them tho, its still 4,000HP healing with regular potions. I'm honestly surprised they have this much healing. Its way too much imo.
There was a side mission in Part 3 that took place in a lake-like setting. Hong Jing is your companion there. Right at the beginning, there's a rock pillar that you can climb up on that has the Dragon Cure Powder. And you should be able to go to the travel map and reload the mission.
