but yeah, i really wish they wold nerf these bosses, not being able to do the dlc on ng++ sucks
Not sure if I got you right, but you could do DLC1 and DLC2 on any difficulty. If you mean that you just can't beat them, then I understand you. I've dropped the NG++ in the middle because I didn't like how difficulty worked with my magic build and bosses became sponge chores.
Yeah he would one shot me with the fly kick reds, but they were not too hard to deflect. It took me some attempts... not sure how many. Maybe 10-15? I realised he has some crazy super armor in 2nd half when he buffs up. So it's hard to go aggressive during that part, instead you bait out the reds and focus on parrying. I think some weapons deflect easier than others so maybe your weapon is a problem if the deflection is difficult?
I don't know if there is another version of him, since I only just started the DLC. I'm talking about the first fight with him on a boat.
If it helps, here is my run of him on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1936988594
I was level 150 from the base game (only did the first DLC on NG today), but 4* Gear and +7 Weapon. Doing the light armor scaling dual swords build. Fighting him on NG, not NG+/++. Still a tough fight. Usually I'm chatting on stream a lot but this guy took my full focus.
Come, let's give it a go at least ;P
We need more human bosses. Top 5. best fights in Wo Long.
How did you even get to 300?! I'm level 203 and I completed every mission on every difficulty so far only missing the first DLC on NG+.
It's been really confusing to me to how the recommended level for each mission just kept getting higher and higher throughout the difficulties while I wasn't getting the experience to keep up even a little.. now lagging roughly 100 levels behind what is supposedly recommended.
And I maintained about 50% extra genuine qi gain on my gear for ages.
In any case yeah on soaring dragon Gan Ning is one shotting me even with a couple regular attacks let alone reds, and the amount of HP he has is bonkers. What an odd design choice.. I guess They have been playtesting this fight with a much higher level and / or perfectly geared character? or else I really don't get it. Tho I wouldn't say my gear is bad either.
