PC Game Pass version VS Steam

I have both, too bad for me steam version slow/stuttering, while PC game pass version run so smoothly. I hope they fix this ASAP.

I've been playing the gamepass version and yea, I've still crashed a few time but it runs just fine otherwise. Though, I did encounter a weird bug where the screen was just flickering black rapidly and randomly, but that seemed to be isolated to one specific map. Not sure what was going on there.

new game pass version and its slow and sometimes stuttery for me. performance is dreadful on lowest settings 1440p.

The first version had better performance but crashed all the time for me.

After reading this post I went to suscribe to GamePass and man.. You are right, With the Gamepass version i have 60fps stable af. Steam version was 45-60 with a LOT of stuttery .

My brother also did the same thing and he doesnt have 60 stable but now it's playable between 55-60 for him. Steam version was pain for him, audio didnt work and the fps was 30-40fps.

So, Gamepass looks like it's actually a better version for now. The whole filesystem it's different and the gamepass version it's only 40Gb vs 41.5gb steam version

Try disabling steam overlay, see if it helps

That's the level of insanity with this launch, its quite rare.

They clearly should have held the PC port back a few weeks.

Runs just fine for me.
Weird that some have issues some don't.

Also got it running nicely on the steam deck but with everything low and render resolution at 50 percent - but on that small screen its not an issue.

4k is available~ Did you set your desktop resolution to 4k or lower?

Sometimes stuff like steam overlay can cause performance issues.

OP, what kind of performance are you getting on Gamepass version? I'm running i7-8700k, RTX 2080ti, 16ddr4 and at 1080p. If I run 120 cap I get it bouncing between 120 and sometimes as low as 70fps regardless of setting or resolution scale. Only way for me to have it be "smooth" is capping it at 60. I know I'm not running newest of the new hardware, but it seems weird that the performance would be the same regardless of graphical setting. Also fps drops on 120fps setting also made it feel like the actual game time was slowing down too.
